SLOW THE GO

Choosing to do fewer activities when mistakes are being made.

Example:  A man is standing at the bathroom sink holding his toothbrush.  He cannot remember if he has already brushed his teeth or not.  Realizing that he is not functioning very well, he decides to “slow his go”.   He chooses to sit down and relax for a few minutes before doing anything else.

    yes, a good strategy when you go into a mild fight or flight state, stress states are so common you don’t even notice it anymore…

      You are right. The natural reactions of ‘flight’ or ‘fight’ both burn a lot of physical and psychological energy without being very efficient.
